Rowdy KYians training session

Several University of KY Island residents participated in a real-life training session at the University of Louisville last Friday. The session was conducted by David Horrar from Student Affairs at UofL. The participants were all members of the Rowdy KYians, a group of Kentucky educators interested in Second Life and other social networking applications. We met in a computer classroom at the College of Education on UofL’s campus. We started with the basics of creating an account, went through several orientation exercises, toured Kentucky SL sites (including University of KY Island, of course!), and ended with a freebie shopping spree! It was a very fun and productive session.

Our thanks to the University of Louisville, and particularly to David, for hosting this wonderful session!

If you are Rowdy KYian who attended the session, please post your images to the Flickr group!
